This policy explains Kanan Labs’ handling of personal information across kananlabs.in, apply.kananlabs.in, TradeWatch, the India AI Tracker, consultation requests, newsletters and the Kanan Supplier Programme.
Scope and responsibility
Kanan Labs determines how information submitted through its public websites and application forms is used. This policy does not govern a bank, financier, WhatsApp or another organization’s independent processing. When a selected supplier enters a separately governed case process, Kanan provides additional purpose, sharing and authorization controls before collecting sensitive records.
Information we collect
Depending on your interaction, we may collect your name, organization, role, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, language preference, manufacturing description, location, broad financing requirement, customer-demand stage, referral source and the content of your enquiry. For Supplier Programme applications, we do not request PAN, Aadhaar, bank statements, tax returns, identity documents or raw borrower records through the initial form.
Our hosting and security systems may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, request time and security signals. We do not place application answers in URLs, analytics events or browser storage.
Why we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries; assess whether a programme or service may be relevant; arrange calls; provide requested communications; protect our services; maintain an application audit trail; and understand aggregated interest by language, location, manufacturing context and requirement type. Supplier Programme contact consent is limited to responding to and administering that application. A separate authorization is required before Kanan coordinates with a financial institution or shares case material.
Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers only where needed to operate the service. These may include Vercel for hosting, Make for workflow routing, Google Workspace for restricted operational records, Brevo for transactional notifications, and communications providers used when you call or message us. They process information under their own security and contractual terms. Kanan does not sell or rent applicant information and does not disclose it to a lender, OEM or other external party merely because an application was submitted.
We may disclose information where required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a lawful organizational transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Cookies and analytics
Parts of kananlabs.in offer consent-based Google Analytics. Analytics loads only after a visitor accepts the relevant cookie choice. It is used to understand aggregate site use, not to evaluate Supplier Programme eligibility. The Supplier Programme application page does not require analytics cookies for submission. You can reject or withdraw non-essential cookie consent through the site controls.
Retention
Contact details for Supplier Programme applicants who are not selected are deleted within 90 days after the application is resolved, unless a longer period is required by law or requested by the applicant for a continuing enquiry. Selected suppliers move into a separately governed case process with its own record purpose and retention decisions. Newsletter details are retained until unsubscribe. Other enquiries are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the correspondence, engagement, security or legal record.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete information Kanan holds about you, withdraw contact consent, or raise a grievance by writing to feedback@kananlabs.in. We may need to verify the request and may retain limited information where law or a legitimate legal record requires it. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully completed.
Security and safe submission
We use access controls, restricted workspaces, transport security and purpose-limited workflows appropriate to the information we process. No online system is completely secure. Do not send identity, bank, tax or confidential production documents through the initial Supplier Programme form or unsolicited WhatsApp messages. Kanan will identify an approved channel if deeper evidence is required.
